what's the cheapest way to create outdoor flooring ontop of grass please?
i have kids and need a large space to play and entertain guests as well. money is a huge factor so im looking for an inexpensive way to create a large space (about 20×20 or bigger) i will be putting this ontop of grass also or if need be, would have to put something down for flooring. please help

the cheepest thing that will look good (other than sheets of plywood put on the ground) is to build a deck, and at about $12 USD a square foot your looking at $4800 USD. A concrete slab would run $13 or $14 USD a square foot.
What is wrong with playing/entertaining on grass? You have floors indoors, they are not, (in-spite of what some make-over programs would have you believe), essential outside.
For really cheap, buy some plastic- or reed- matting and lay it straight over the grass; an old carpet would do for a year, perhaps two. If it has to be flat, shuttering-ply is relatively cheap, and should last a couple of years.
